How soon can I have a training class scheduled?
Workplace Safety Specialists works with you and often can schedule training within days.. If travel is required, we keep costs down by coordinating with the best airfare.
Is CPR and First Aid Training required in the workplace?
The requirement can vary depending on industry and activities in the workplace. OSHA states that "In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available."
What materials do students receive during training?
Courses include a student manual and supplemental reference material as applicable, ie. Temporary Traffic Control - MUTCD, Hands-On classes - Skills Assessment Forms, NIOSH, ERG and others. Two-hour awareness courses include hand-out material.
When do I get my course certificate and wallet card?
Where does training take place?
Training is provided at the convenience of your facility which reduces the length of time employees are away from their job. In addition it allows for us to train your employees on the equipment being used for the job. Proper use, inspections and common mistakes are shown when doing the hands-on field exercises.
Is there a minimum number of students needed to hold a class?
How have you addressed issues with COVID-19?
Workplace Safety Specialists complies with your COVID-19 procedures. Classrooms need to allow for physical distancing and we leave it up to the client if both the students and instructor need to wear a face covering. Students can either pick up their own materials or can access them online. We also allow extra time for breaks to wash hands and ask that if you are sick to not attend class.

He has been certified as an OSHA Outreach Trainer in General Industry and Construction since 1999. Mr. Leonard has remained dedicated to the administration of health and safety regulations, EPA, OSHA, MSHA, and FAA. Traci successfully completed her Emergency Medical Technician certification and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training for the City of Surprise. Traci holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Business & Public Administration and an MBA from Ottawa University. Traci has been a part of the Workplace Safety Specialists team since May 2019.
