This courses teaches participants injury prevention techniques for lifting and moving objects in the workplace. Proper lifting techniques and pre-lifting exercises that can help employees prevent future back injuries are demonstrated. Topics include how to identify the most common causes of back injury; the root causes of injuries from awkward postures, workstations or lifting items that are too heavy or too large; twisting to move a load; and reaching too far.
